Introduction:
KC Certification means Korea Certification. It is mandatory certification stablished by the Korean government to ensure the products sold in Korea meet the relevant standards.
KC Certification includes KC EMC Certification and KC Safety Certification. EMC and safety are managed by different agencies and have different certification processes.
KC EMC is a mandatory certification for information technology, telecommunications and RF radio frequency products in the Korean market, including electromagnetic compatibility, telecommunications and radio frequency testing.
KC EMC certification is managed by RRA (Radio Research Agency).
Certification Type:
There are four types to apply for EMC approval according to the product category:

Conformity Certification: Wireless telecom product, telephone, mobile phone, fax machine etc.
- Conformity Registration: Electrical and electronic product, machinery, household appliance etc.
- Interim of Conformity: For the product which has no specific standard.

South Korea - Energy Efficiently
Introduction:
Energy efficiency is mostly applied to household and office appliances，and is also for industrial products and facilities.
Certification Type:
The Energy Efficiency system includes the following three programs：

MEPS (Minimum Energy Performance Standard): For refrigerator, washing machine, water heater/cooler, vacuum cleaner, air purifier, AC adapter etc.

E-standby: For computer, monitor, printer, fax, copier, scanner, audio device, server, wireless router etc.

Introduction:
KC Certification means Korea Certification. It is mandatory certification stablished by the Korean government to ensure the products sold in Korea meet the relevant standards.
KC Certification includes KC EMC Certification and KC Safety Certification. EMC and safety are managed by different agencies and have different certification processes.
Generally, consumer products with over 30 Vac or 42 Vdc are subject to product safety certification.
Certification Type:
There are 3 types to apply for safety approval according to the product category:
- Safety certification: Cable and cord, switch, vacuum cleaner, iron, washing machine, AC adapter etc.
Factory Inspection is needed for safety certification.
- Safety confirmation: Temperature controller, electric hair clipper, air purifier, water purifier, TV, Audio system, monitor, printer, projector, copy machine etc.
- Supplier Declaration of Conformity: DC air purifier, DC ion generator, amplifier, scanner, fax machine, printer (less than 30Vac or 42Vdc), projector (less than 30Vac or 42Vdc) etc.
